The frame is nice and light and a great piece to start from, but the bike as is fresh from the package is a little lacking. The parts are all low end parts, so the gears are slightly warped, which causes the chain to rub on the derailer. The crank, the metal piece that connects the pedal to the bike, opposite of the gears fell off after 2 weeks of use, which makes riding the bike fairly difficult. The nut is a lock nut, but the teeth are stripped so it needs to be replaced. Overall you get what you paid for, but this bike has potential to be really nice, it just needs some new parts before that potential can be realized.

Everything on this worked out fine except two things. 1) buy a new seat. The one on here is horrible...just order a new one, its only 15$ extra, no big deal. 2) The rear gear shift should be adjusted by a professional. I have worked with mine some, but in the end I had to put it away this winter without having the shifter properly adjusted. I may end up buying a new one. The problem with the shifter is troublesome, because it does not move the chain properly along the different cogs, so you will end up with the chain randomly slipping and causing you to lurch when you are riding along (a possibly painful experience when going full speed). My recommendation is to build it all and then take it to a local bike shop and ask them to look over it, maybe give you some tips for adjusting it regularly. No bike built directly out of a package is going to just work.

I ordered this bike and after that realized that it is too small for me. Overall it is a nice bike and a good company. They returned the bike and processed the refund without any problems.
